Every parent should be able to shop for their kids easily, however they use the web. We want tisfortame.com to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification or captions.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That includes:
- Text and buttons with enough color contrast to read easily.
- Every part of the site working with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are.
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Text descriptions (alt text) on product photos and other meaningful images.
- Clear labels on forms, buttons and the subscription choices.
- No video that plays with sound on its own, a pause button on the scrolling strips and the video feed, and less motion when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Pages that still work when you zoom in to 200%.
How we check
We check this site with automated tools and by hand with a keyboard, on phones and computers.
What we know isn’t perfect yet
Some creator videos don’t have captions yet. Some parts of the site come from other companies: checkout is run by Shopify, product reviews come from our review provider, and some videos play from YouTube.
