What to avoid on baby hair
Sulfates, synthetic fragrances, alcohol, and dyes are the main ingredients to avoid in the first year. The scalp absorbs what you put on it, and the barrier function is still maturing. Anything harsh or stripping on baby skin can cause irritation, dryness, or discomfort.
What baby hair actually needs
